Jared and Giovanna got married at The River House Event Venue on the Blackwater River, right as the sun was setting over the water. Here's a look at their day.
The River House sits directly on the Blackwater River in Historic Downtown Milton, and its covered pavilion looks straight out over the water toward untouched wetlands on the other bank. Jared and Giovanna's ceremony ran into golden hour, and the sunset light coming off the river gave their film some of the best natural color I've gotten on a Gulf Coast wedding — no grading trick replaces that.
Because the pavilion is open on most sides, the river itself becomes part of the film rather than just a backdrop — reflections and light off the water end up in frame. If your ceremony time lines up with sunset, this is a venue where I'd build the schedule specifically to catch it; the light window is short but it's worth protecting.
